PA Student Loan Relief for Nurses (SLRN) Employer Information
To extend the SLRN student loan relief, PHEAA must verify the employment of each selected nurse. This page answers commonly asked questions and provides resources for employers who are working with selected SLRN nurses.
The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and PHEAA thank you for your efforts and assistance in getting the valued nurses in PA the relief that they have earned through their hard work and dedication. Your support of them during their employment has made that possible.
Employer’s Role
PHEAA is counting on you, the employer, to certify that the nurses selected for the SLRN program have completed the employment requirements necessary for participation in the program. Each applicant has provided their employment information covering working years 2020, 2021, and 2022. Employers provided by the applicants will receive an Employment Certification Listing (ECL) via email in the coming weeks.
The ECL includes all nurses employed by the organization that have been selected for participation in the SLRN program.
Next Steps
When you receive the ECL, please follow the detailed instruction to complete the required fields. As a reminder, you should:
- Complete the ECL accurately for each nurse that has been or is employed by the organization
- Return the ECL within 30 days of receipt
- Provide accurate contact information in case of questions or the need for clarification from PHEAA
