PHEAA.org more user-friendly for Pennsylvania students and families

Harrisburg, PA (April 27, 2011)—The Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Agency (PHEAA) announced today numerous upgrades to the Agency's financial aid website, PHEAA.org. The free site offers comprehensive financial aid and college planning information, including access to all Pennsylvania-specific student aid programs.

PHEAA.org has improved and updated content organization and simplified site navigation making it easier for visitors to gain access to information.

"PHEAA's online identity is many times the first introduction that students and families have with the student aid process in Pennsylvania," said Representative William Adolph, PHEAA Board Chairman. "We continually evaluate our websites to ensure that our visitors have the easiest access to information and an overall positive experience."

A new Partner Access section is dedicated specifically for K-12 school counselors, schools, work-study Program employers and PHEAA's numerous community partners. A "Did You Know" section has been added to most pages, providing additional information on the page's topic. Contact information has been enhanced by adding phone numbers and email addresses directly to the pages regarding State Grants, work-study and other funding opportunities, making it easier for students to contact PHEAA with their questions.

"Most families have questions about applying for financial aid and the college-planning process in general," said Senator Wayne Fontana, PHEAA Vice Chairman. "Providing information online in the most user-friendly format is an ongoing goal of the Agency."
